Okay, thanks for the tip! Where exactly is that pump located on the Mondeo? And how do I check the relay? I'm not exactly a pro mechanic, but I can handle basic stuff.

On my Astra, the pump was accessible behind the front wheel arch liner. You might have to remove the wheel and some plastic covers to get to it. As for the relay, check your car's manual for the location of the washer pump relay. Try swapping it with another relay of the same type to see if it fixes the issue. If not, honestly, it might be worth getting a mechanic to take a peek. Could save you a lot of hassle.

Thanks a bunch! Took your advice and checked the connections - couldn't see anything obvious. Bit the bullet and took it to the workshop. Turns out it WAS a defective cable connection, just like you said! Cost me 165€ to get it sorted. Appreciate the help!

That sounds familiar! I had a similar thing happen with my old 2008 Opel Astra. Washer fluid stopped spraying. For me, it ended up being a dodgy connection to the pump. Check the cable connections to the pump motor, maybe even the relay? Could be corroded or loose. Also, is there fluid in the tank? I know that sounds dumb but sometimes it's the simple things!
