Mondeo Oil Level Sensor Fault

I own a 2006 Ford Mondeo diesel with 244711 km. I'm getting an error message and warning light, plus the oil pressure lamp. Error memory says there's a fault with the oil level sensor signal. Could a bad cable or connection be the problem?

I had a similar issue with my old Opel Astra. Same symptoms – warning lights and error codes pointing to the oil level sensor. For me, it was corroded wiring near the sensor. Have you checked the connections for damage or corrosion? A multimeter can help find a broken wire.

Thanks. Can you tell me which connections to check and how to use the multimeter?

On the Astra, the sensor connector was right on the oil pan. Check the Mondeo's connector and wiring from the sensor. For the multimeter, find a YouTube tutorial. If you're not sure, take it to a workshop. It was such a hassle for me that I ended up doing that.

Understood. I'll go to a workshop. Thanks for the fast help. The repair was 95€.
