Mondeo rough running drift compensation

My 2015 Ford Mondeo diesel is running rough, and the check engine light is on. The car has about 198215 km. Diagnostics show a 'reset quantity drift compensation' error. I suspect an injector issue. Any ideas on the reset procedure or other potential causes before I visit a workshop? Any advice on performance tuning, car sensors, or fuel injection?

Rough running and engine light? Sounds familiar. I had similar issues with my Mondeo a while back. Have you tried checking the fuel filter? A clogged filter can mess with the fuel injection. Also, injector cleaner might be worth a shot before you tear things apart.

Thanks for the quick reply. Could you elaborate on the symptoms you experienced with your Mondeo? Were they like mine, rough engine running and the check engine light with the 'reset quantity drift compensation' error?

Spot on, engine was chugging like a tractor, and the check engine light was always on! It was the drift compensation thing too, as far as I remember. I messed about with fuel cleaner and the filter, but no dice. Bit the bullet and took it to the workshop. They sorted it quickly. Best bet, I reckon. Don't start ripping things apart yourself!

Thanks for the advice. Following your recommendation, I went to a local workshop. The diagnosis matched our suspicions: a defective injector. The repair, including parts and labor, cost 515€. The car is running smoothly again.
