Thanks for the tip! Where exactly is the actuator located? And is it easy to check the cable and plug connection myself, or do I need special tools?

It's usually near the throttle body. You might be able to see it by just popping the hood, but getting to it might be a pain. If you're not comfortable poking around, I'd suggest taking it to a workshop to avoid making things worse. Better safe than sorry!

Thanks a bunch! I'll check the location and see if I can get to the plug. If not, I'll take your advice and go to the workshop. They found a defective cable or plug connection and fixed it for 95€. Thanks again for the help!

Sounds familiar. I had a similar problem with my Monza. Cruise control went kaput. Have you checked the cable and plug connection of the cruise control actuator? It's like a loose wire on a lamp – sometimes it just disconnects.
