Movano hands free microphone fault
Summary of the thread
A 2007 Renault Movano has a hands-free microphone issue, with telephony not working and an error stored in the memory. The problem might be related to the infotainment system. A similar case required replacing the defective infotainment system, which resolved the issue. Booking a workshop appointment for further diagnosis and potential replacement is suggested.

I haven't checked ambient noise specifically, but I tested it in a silent environment with the same result. I already tried disconnecting and reconnecting the Bluetooth, but it didn't work. Did that fix it for you?

Unfortunately, those didn't work for me. I had to take it to a workshop. They said the infotainment system was defective and needed replacement. It was around 800€, but it fixed the problem completely.

Thanks for confirming you had a similar experience. I'll book an appointment at a workshop for them to check the infotainment system.

I had a similar issue on my Movano. The voice recognition packed it in, and nobody could hear me on calls. Have you checked for ambient noise affecting the microphone? Maybe try disconnecting and reconnecting the Bluetooth connection. Might be worth a shot.
