Movano Poor Starting Fuel Consumption
Summary of the thread
A 2011 diesel Movano is experiencing poor starting, high fuel consumption, reduced power, uneven idle, and occasional stalling at 173,422 km. The suspected causes include a bad injection nozzle or a dirty valve. The recommended solution is to have the injection system professionally checked, as similar issues were resolved by replacing a faulty injector.

Thanks. No engine warning light. Does that change your opinion? Anything else to check?

No warning light is interesting, but doesn't rule out a faulty injector. Given the symptoms and your suspicion, get the injection system professionally checked. A workshop can run diagnostics and test the injectors. My Movano had the same issues; replacing a faulty injector fixed it immediately. Cost me around 515€.

Appreciate the advice. A workshop visit is probably best. I had the injection nozzles replaced and now the car runs smoothly again.

I had similar issues with my Movano, different engine though. Those symptoms definitely sound like a fuel injection problem. These diesel engines are sensitive. Has the engine warning light come on?
