Movano Poor Starting High Fuel Consumption
Summary of the thread
A 2015 Renault Movano diesel exhibited poor starting and high fuel consumption, with suspicion initially directed at the throttle valve. Air intake seems fine. I haven't checked the sensor readings yet. Is that difficult to do? What exactly am I looking for?

It's best done with diagnostic equipment. If you're not comfortable, I would recommend a workshop. My Movano had a defective accelerator pedal module; cost 205€ to replace. Does that sound familiar?

Thanks, that's helpful. I took it to a shop; they confirmed it was the accelerator pedal module. Replaced it, and all seems good now.

I had similar symptoms with my Renault Movano. Did you check for any air intake leaks? What about the throttle position sensor readings? Could be a faulty control valve too, throwing off the engine idle.
