Movano Starting Issue

My 2000 Renault Movano diesel has starting issues. The battery seems weak, and the lights flicker. Mileage is at 209281 km. I tested the battery, and voltage seems low. Could it be the battery sensor?

Low voltage and flickering lights strongly suggest a charging issue! Has the battery been load tested? A defective battery sensor is a plausible culprit. Check the sensor's connections for corrosion or damage.

Load tested, seems okay. Where exactly is the battery sensor located, and is it easy to replace myself?

The battery sensor is typically integrated into the negative battery cable or the battery management system. Given the symptoms and your findings, I highly recommend a workshop visit. Modern battery management systems can be complex, and a misdiagnosis could lead to unnecessary parts replacement. A proper diagnostic scan is advisable.

Thanks for the advice. Took it to a shop; faulty battery sensor confirmed. Cost me 315€ to replace, but the problem is solved.
