MR2 boost pressure sensor issue

Having trouble with my 2002 Toyota MR2 gasoline engine. It's got 56419 km on it. The check engine light is on and off, and it's jerking when I accelerate. I'm also hearing whistling and hissing when I accelerate. Sometimes the engine stalls when idle, and it feels like I'm burning more fuel and the engine power is down. I think it might be the boost pressure sensor, maybe a bad cable or plug. Anyone else seen this?

Sounds familiar. I had similar symptoms on my MR2. Check engine light, weird noises under boost, and felt like it was running rough. Is your car turbo?

Yep, it's got a turbocharger. What was the problem you had, and how did you fix it?

Yep, turbo. I'd bet it's the boost pressure sensor then. Those symptoms sound exactly like it. I'd get it checked at a workshop.

Thanks for the help. It was the boost pressure sensor, a bad electrical connection. Cost 95€ to repair. Appreciate your assistance.
