MR2 Massage Seat Switch Failure
Summary of the thread
The massage seat switch in a 2004 Toyota MR2 has stopped working, with no lights or activation, indicating a complete power failure. An error scan suggests a possible issue with a cable or plug connection. The problem might be resolved by checking and securing these connections, but if unsuccessful, professional assistance may be required, as indicated by a workshop estimate.
Did this summary help you solve your problem?

Yeah, completely dead. No lights on the switch itself, nothing. Like the power supply has been cut off completely. Did yours have the same symptoms? Any pointers on where to start looking, assuming it was a simple fix?

Yep, same symptoms, switch was dead. Honestly, can't recall the exact fix, but I vaguely remember fiddling around and then giving up and taking it to a workshop in the end. They sorted it quickly enough. Maybe it's worth checking the obvious connections first, then considering a professional?

Thanks for the input! I'll double-check the connections myself, but it's probably heading to the workshop then. Just got the estimate for 95€, mentioning "Cable or plug connection of the component defective". At least I know what I'm getting into now!

Interesting. I've got an MR2 myself, and I think I recall something similar happening a while back. Was the switch completely dead, no lights or anything? Or does it just not activate the massage?
