Multi Alarm System Fault
Summary of the thread
The 2001 Nissan Multi experienced a complete failure of the alarm system, with an error indicating a siren communication fault. The initial troubleshooting involved checking for a blown fuse and inspecting wiring, but these did not resolve the issue. The problem was identified as likely being related to the alarm controller, specifically due to faulty wiring. The solution involved taking the vehicle to a workshop, where the wiring issue to the alarm controller was repaired, resolving the problem.

Alarm controller? Where exactly is that located, and is there an easy way to test it? I'm not super tech-savvy, so ELI5, please!

Yes, siren communication fault means the alarm controller is likely the issue. Honestly, it's probably best to take it to a workshop. The price will be around 95€. They can properly diagnose the fault detection and signal problem.

Thanks a bunch! I appreciate the insight. Took it to the shop, and you were spot on – dodgy wiring to the alarm controller. All fixed now!

I had a similar issue with my Multi. It sounds like a wiring issue, possibly a defective cable or plug connection to the siren. Have you checked the alarm controller?
