Multi Outside Temperature Sensor Fault
Summary of the thread
The 2000 Nissan Multi is experiencing issues with a faulty outside temperature sensor, leading to the AC not engaging, frozen spray nozzles, and non-functional mirror heating. A potential cause could be a simple sensor failure or issues with the cable and plug connections. A similar case was resolved by inspecting and cleaning a corroded pin in the connector, suggesting that a thorough inspection and maintenance of the connections might solve the problem.

Thanks! Was your Multi exhibiting the same symptoms – frozen spray nozzles and all? When you say 'checked,' did you just visually inspect them, or did you perform any electrical testing?

Yep, frozen nozzles too. A complete pain. I only did a visual check initially and everything looked fine. Took it to a workshop in the end, they found a corroded pin in the connector. They cleaned it and applied some dielectric grease.

Understood. I will schedule an appointment with a trusted workshop for a thorough inspection of the cable and plug connections. If the repair cost of 95€ is correct, this seems like a reasonable solution. I appreciate your guidance!

I had similar issues with my Multi. Have you checked the cable and plug connections to the sensor itself? That was the culprit for me. Air con, mirror heating...the lot.
