Multiple Warning Lights Plague Suzuki Wagon R Owner

My 2022 Suzuki Wagon R is showing multiple error messages across different displays. The engine light came on yesterday, and now Im getting error notifications in both the infotainment system and instrument cluster. The car still runs but Im concerned about potential issues. Has anyone experienced similar warning indicators on their Wagon R? Would be great to hear what the fault code indicated in your case and what repairs were needed. Looking to get some insights before taking it to a workshop for engine diagnostics. The car has done regular maintenance and no previous issues until now.

I had a similar situation with my 2020 Suzuki Swift. After multiple warning lights and error messages appeared, including the malfunction indicator, I initially tried disconnecting the battery for 15 minutes, but this only temporarily cleared the warnings. The control module was showing multiple fault codes when the workshop connected their scan tool. After diagnosis, they discovered the root cause was incorrect coding in the vehicle system, likely from a previous software update that didnt complete properly. The repair involved reprogramming the control modules and clearing all fault codes. Total cost was 360€ which included diagnostic time and the full system recoding. Since the fix, no error messages have returned and the engine light has stayed off. To help with your case, could you share: Have you had any recent software updates or battery disconnections? What specific error messages are you seeing? Does the engine light stay on constantly or does it flicker? Have you noticed any changes in how the car drives? These details would help determine if your issue is similar to what I experienced.

My Wagon R has 171668KM since new and has had regular service intervals. I havent noticed any battery issues or recent software updates. The engine light stays constantly on and the error message relates to engine control system. The car runs smoothly with no noticeable performance changes. This feedback is reassuring as it points to a potential software glitch rather than a mechanical issue. The diagnostic reset codes you mentioned having success with seems like a logical first step. I will get it checked professionally to rule out any serious engine malfunction. Getting multiple warnings across different displays does sound similar to your experience with the control module coding.

Thanks for providing those additional details about your Wagon R. The constant engine light combined with normal performance indeed matches my experience with the Swift control module issue. Multiple system warnings without actual performance problems often point to communication or coding problems rather than mechanical faults. In my case, the OBD-II scan revealed several fault codes that seemed unrelated at first, but were all traced back to that single software issue. The fact that your car runs smoothly supports this theory, as corrupted module coding typically triggers warning lights without affecting engine performance. The diagnostic at my workshop showed the malfunction indicator was triggered by communication errors between control units rather than actual component failures. Since your mileage is higher than mine was, having the scan tool check for any additional stored codes would be wise as preventive measure. Consider asking the workshop to: Run a full system diagnostic beyond just engine codes, Check for any pending control module updates, Verify if all modules are communicating properly, Clear and monitor fault codes after repairs The repair cost might differ from my 360€ case depending on what they find, but catching these issues early usually prevents more expensive problems later.

Thanks everyone for the detailed responses. This really helped give me direction on what to investigate with my Wagon R. I appreciate knowing that when multiple error messages appear across different displays, it might be more of a software or communication issue rather than mechanical, especially since my car is still running fine. The engine light staying constantly on with normal performance does match what others experienced with control module coding problems. I have scheduled a workshop visit for tomorrow where they will run a complete check engine diagnostic and scan for any stored OBD-II codes. Will make sure they check all the control modules and their communication as suggested. The potential 360€ cost range gives me a helpful benchmark, though I understand it could vary based on what they find. At least now I know to ask them to look specifically at: Control module coding, System communication errors, Software update status, Stored fault codes across all systems Will update the thread once I get the results from the workshop in case others run into similar warning indicators on their vehicles.
