Murano electrical malfunctions

Hi, I'm having a weird electrical issue with my 2013 Nissan Murano diesel. The error memory is showing a fault, and I'm getting general electrical malfunctions along with my navigation system not working at all. It feels like the whole system is glitched out. My local garage mentioned that the programming of the control unit seems implausible, and I have driven 155024 km with it. They're quoting around 240€ for a software reset/recalibration. Has anyone experienced similar problems, or is this a known software bug?

I had comparable electrical gremlins in my Murano. Did they check the onboard diagnostics thoroughly before suggesting a reset? It sounds like a flaky control unit, like a circuit breaker tripping randomly.

That's interesting! So, you've had this before... Did the software reset fix it permanently, or did you have to replace the control unit itself? I'm trying to figure out if I should bite the bullet on the recalibration or brace for a bigger expense.

In my case, recalibration provided only temporary relief. The underlying issue persisted, necessitating a full control unit replacement. Based on the symptoms and error codes you described, I would recommend preparing for the possibility of hardware replacement. A software fault might just be a symptom of a deeper problem. I think it is best to visit a workshop.

Thanks for the insight! Sounds like I should mentally prepare for a new control unit. I'll get the reset done first and see if it holds, but I appreciate the heads-up. At least I know what to expect now.
