Murano Oil Pressure Warning
Summary of the thread
A 2014 Nissan Murano with a diesel engine displayed an oil pressure warning light, and the oil appeared contaminated and sludgy. The core problem was identified as degraded oil due to exceeded maintenance intervals, which compromised lubrication. The suggested solution was to have the vehicle checked by a workshop promptly to prevent further engine damage.
Did this summary help you solve your problem?

The oil looks dark and thicker than usual, almost like sludge. Oil changes have been done, but maybe the interval was exceeded a bit. What exactly was your issue, and how did you resolve it?

Yeah, that sounds like what I experienced. Dark, sludgy oil is not a good sign. In my case, the exceeded maintenance interval caused the oil to degrade and not lubricate properly. I'd recommend getting it checked out by a workshop ASAP to prevent further damage.

Thanks for the advice! Took it to the workshop, and you were right, the exceeded maintenance interval was the main issue. Cost me 165€ to fix. Appreciate the help!

Hey, I had a similar issue with my Murano. Same warning lights. What does the oil look like? Is it sludgy or a strange color? Have you been keeping up with oil changes? It might be worth checking if the oil additives are doing their job.
