Murano parking aid malfunction
Summary of the thread
The parking aid system on a 2008 diesel Murano is malfunctioning, with an error code indicating a potential issue. The suspected causes include a defective cable or plug, possibly due to corroded connectors, particularly behind the bumper. It is advised to inspect connections to the rearview camera and ultrasonic sensors, but professional diagnosis and repair at a workshop are recommended for those not comfortable with car electrics.

Could you provide more specific information regarding which connections I should inspect or any particular areas that are more prone to failure? Is it something I can do myself?

Well, mine turned out to be a corroded connector behind the bumper. Honestly, unless you're comfortable with car electrics, I'd just bring it to a workshop. They'll diagnose it properly. Better than messing something else up. I ended up paying 95€ for the repair.

Understood. I appreciate the advice and the cost estimate. I will bring the vehicle to a workshop for a professional diagnosis and repair. Thank you for your assistance.

MURANO

I have a Murano too, and yeah, I had something similar. Check the connections to your rearview camera and the ultrasonic sensors, especially the ones in the rear bumper. Also, maybe give the blind spot sensors a look if your car has them. A bad connection there can mess things up.
