Murano wiper failure
Summary of the thread
A 2008 Nissan Murano diesel's windshield wipers stopped working, with diagnostics indicating an error, though the specific code is unknown. The issue might be related to the steering column wiring harness or the rain sensor. Suggestions include checking cable and plug connections, inspecting the wiper fuses, and considering a workshop diagnostic if electrical troubleshooting is challenging.

Thanks. Any tips on where to start with the cable and plug connections, since it's tricky to get to those parts in the steering column?

Given it's a diesel, you're right to think about the wiring harness. The rain sensor or the wiper motor could also be the problem. If you're not comfortable with electrical stuff, a workshop diagnostic might be best.

Thanks, I'll take it to a workshop. They think it's a cable or plug issue, and quoted 95€ for the repair. Thanks again for the advice.

I had similar wiper issues last year. Check the cable and plug connections. Did you check the wiper fuses? A bad fuse could cause that.
