Mustang Airbag Light Rollover Sensor

Got a head-scratcher on my 2017 Mustang GT, gasoline engine. Airbag light's on, and the error memory's screaming about a rollover sensor. Think the control unit's buggered. Anyone else seen this gremlin?

Summary of the thread

A 2017 Mustang GT is experiencing an airbag light issue related to a rollover sensor error. The problem may be due to a faulty control unit, as suggested by another individual who faced similar symptoms. Checking sensor connections and wiring is recommended, but if the control unit is indeed faulty, replacement might be necessary to resolve the issue.

Did this summary help you solve your problem?

I had a similar issue with my Mustang. Did you check the sensor connections and wiring? Could be a loose connection or damaged wire causing the fault. What codes are you pulling exactly?

Cheers for the quick reply! Nah, haven't checked the connections yet. Been slammed. But you're saying you had the exact same symptoms AND control unit failure?

Same symptoms, yeah. Rollover sensor fault triggering the airbag light. Never got round to troubleshooting. Took it straight to the shop since safety systems ain't something to mess with. Turned out the control unit was throwing false positives. Replacement was the only fix.

Right, that settles it then. Looks like I'm bending over for a new control unit. Garage quoted around 1000€. Thanks for confirming. At least I know what I'm in for.
