Mustang belt tensioner failure

Anyone else having issues with their electric 2022 Mustang? Mine's done 247027 km, and the belt-handover doesn't work anymore. Pretty sure it's the belt bringer/handover itself that's defective. Anyone seen this?

Summary of the thread

The conversation revolves around a 2022 electric Mustang experiencing issues with the belt handover, suspected to be due to a defective belt tensioner. The problem led to decreased engine performance, although no unusual noises were reported. A similar issue was confirmed by another owner, who advised checking the belt tensioner, which was indeed found to be defective and subsequently repaired.

Did this summary help you solve your problem?

I had a similar problem with my Mustang. Is it making any weird noises, or is engine performance impacted?

Yeah, the engine performance is definitely not as smooth as it used to be. Noises are pretty standard though. What was your issue exactly?

Sounds like the same thing. Eventually, it completely failed on me and left me stranded. I would suggest taking it to a workshop to be sure. Seems it is a defective belt tensioner.

Yep, you were spot on. Took it in, and it was indeed the belt tensioner. Cost me 455€ to repair. Thanks for the heads up!
