Mustang knock sensor issue

I'm experiencing an issue with my 2022 Ford Mustang, gasoline engine. The check engine light is on, fuel consumption seems higher than usual, and the engine has an uneven idle. After scanning, it points to a defective knock sensor. I've checked the sensor itself and wiring seems to be the likely cause. Anyone else encountered this?

Summary of the thread

A 2022 Ford Mustang is experiencing issues with the check engine light, increased fuel consumption, and uneven idle, attributed to a defective knock sensor. The problem was traced to faulty wiring rather than the sensor itself. The solution involved repairing a faulty connector, resolving the issue.

Interesting. I had a similar problem on my old BMW a while back. The warning light was on, and fuel efficiency tanked. Was it showing any other codes besides the knock sensor?

Just the one code related to the knock sensor. I've cleared it a couple of times, but it returns after a short drive. Did your BMW show the same behavior?

Yeah, same symptoms. I tried troubleshooting it myself for a while, but honestly, in the end, I just took it to a workshop. Sometimes it's easier to let the pros handle it. Good luck!

Thanks for the insight. I suspected it might come to that. Turns out it was indeed a faulty connector. Repair cost was 95€. Appreciate the help!
