Thanks for the quick reply. The catalytic converter is original, as far as I know. How did you eventually fix your lean running issue? Was it something simple, or did you have to replace a bunch of stuff?

Mine turned out to be a bad injector. After chasing vacuum leaks and cleaning the throttle body, I gave up and took it to a workshop. They diagnosed it pretty quick. Cost me around 500€ to fix.

Appreciate the info! Sounds like I'm headed to the shop. Just got the diagnosis back: faulty fuel injector, just like we suspected. Quoted 515€ for the repair. Thanks for sharing your experience!

I had a similar problem with my Mustang. Check the EGR valve and maybe also the oxygen sensor. Could also be a vacuum leak somewhere in the intake manifold. How old is your catalytic converter?
