N300 Check Engine Light and Smoke
Summary of the thread
A 2018 Chevrolet N300 experienced a check engine light, reduced engine power, and smoke during acceleration, possibly due to a crankcase ventilation valve malfunction. The symptoms included rough idling, which aligned with similar past issues. The suggested solution was to replace the crankcase ventilation valve, which resolved the problem after being confirmed and repaired at a workshop.

Yes, the idle is a bit rough. Is it a difficult repair? What were the exact symptoms in your case?

The rough idle and smoke definitely point towards a defective crankcase ventilation. I'd suggest taking it to a workshop to confirm. Replacing the valve should resolve the issue.

Thanks for the advice! Took it to the shop, and they confirmed it was the crankcase ventilation valve. Repair cost 360€. All seems fine now.

I had similar symptoms on my N300. It might indeed be the crankcase ventilation. Has the idle also been rough lately?
