The actuator cable, huh? Where exactly is that located? Is it a pain to get to? I'm decent with a wrench, but tracing wires isn't exactly my forte.

It's located near the cruise control module itself. While I'm not certain, given the symptoms you're describing, professional diagnosis would be advisable. It could be the cable, but it may be something else in the system.

Thanks for the tip! I ended up taking it to a shop. Turns out it was a dodgy connector on the cable, just like you said. Cost me 95€ to get it sorted. You saved me a bunch of time tearing apart the wrong things!

I had a similar issue with my N300. Have you checked the actuator cable or the plug connection? A defective connection there can cause those symptoms.
