N300 oil pressure light and engine noise
Summary of the thread
A 2018 Chevrolet N300 with 41,495 km is experiencing an oil pressure warning light and engine noise. Despite the oil level being fine, the issue could be due to a clogged oil filter or a more serious problem. I'm using the recommended oil viscosity, but I haven't checked the oil pressure sensor specifically. Where is it located, and is it easy to test? No obvious external oil leakage noticed.

Okay, if you're using the right oil and there's no leakage, it's less likely to be that. The oil pressure sensor is usually near the oil filter. Honestly, those noises combined with the low pressure light suggest it might be more than just a sensor. I'd seriously consider getting it checked out by a workshop – could be the oil pump itself, and you don't want to grenade the engine.

Appreciate the advice! Took it to the shop, and you were spot on - oil pump was faulty. Cost me 755€ to replace it. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!

Sounds familiar! I had a similar issue with my N300. First, check the oil pressure sensor – they can be dodgy. What weight oil are you using? Too thin oil will cause you issues in these engines. Have you noticed any oil leakage?
