N300 Smartphone Connection Problem
Summary of the thread
The main issue is a smartphone connection problem with a 2010 Chevrolet N300, suspected to be due to incorrect pairing. A similar problem in another vehicle was resolved by updating the head unit's software, suggesting a potential software glitch. The recommended solution is to have a reliable workshop check and refresh the car's system software, which successfully resolved the issue in a similar case.

That's good to know! I had not considered the software aspect. How did you find out it was the software? Any specifics?

The Opel dealer ran a diagnostic check and found a known issue with the firmware. They refreshed it, and the problem disappeared. My advice would be to book it in at a trustworthy workshop to check for this, because the problem can become bigger than that.

Thanks, that is really helpful. I will definitely book it in with a reliable workshop to get the software checked out. They refreshed the bluetooth software and charged 45€. The problem seems to have gone away!

Interesting. I had a comparable problem with my 2017 Opel Astra. The phone connection kept dropping, and it turned out to be a software glitch in the head unit. Is your Chevrolet system current?
