N400 check engine light and VANOS issue
Summary of the thread
A 2022 Chevrolet N400 is experiencing a persistent check engine light and increased fuel consumption, suspected to be related to the inlet VANOS mechanics. Possible causes include a faulty camshaft solenoid valve or a power supply issue. A similar case confirmed the problem as a faulty inlet VANOS, suggesting a visit to a mechanic for diagnosis and repair.

No unusual noises that I've noticed, but the power does seem a bit down when I'm trying to accelerate quickly. Did your issue also point towards the VANOS system? Trying to get an idea of what I'm facing before I take it in.

A drop in power too? Oh dear, that's exactly what happened to me! The workshop diagnosed it as a faulty inlet VANOS. I would suggest you take your car to a trustworthy workshop as soon as possible. This is beyond my expertise.

Thanks for the insight! Sounds like I'm on the right track with the VANOS suspicion. Will get it checked out by a mechanic. Turns out you were spot on. Faulty inlet VANOS, repair cost me around 250€. Thanks again!

Oh my goodness, a check engine light and higher fuel consumption? That sounds stressful! I also have an N400, and I went through something that sounds eerily familiar last year. Was the engine making any unusual noises, or did you happen to notice a drop in power when accelerating?
