Navara Crankshaft Sensor Issue

Hey, got a problem with my 2005 Nissan Navara diesel. The check engine light is on, and it feels like it's lost a lot of power. Engine response is poor, and I'm burning through more fuel than usual. My scanner says it's a crankshaft to camshaft reference value issue. Anyone seen this before?

Sounds familiar! I had similar symptoms in my Navara. Have you checked the crankshaft sensor? That could be the culprit. They can go bad, and it messes with the engine synchronization.

Cheers for the quick reply! Yeah, I thought it might be the sensor but wasn't sure. Was it a pain to replace?

I'd personally leave the timing belt alone, unless you know what you are doing. It might be the sensor. In my case it was the crankshaft sensor being defective and I had someone else replace it at a workshop.

Thanks for the heads-up! Booked it into the workshop to get the crankshaft sensor replaced. Cost me 340€ in the end, but runs like new again!
