Navara Jerking Acceleration Hissing Noise

My 2006 Nissan Navara with a gasoline engine, around 197400 km, has the check engine light on and jerks when accelerating. I hear whistling and loud hissing during acceleration. Sometimes it stalls at idle, with higher fuel consumption and reduced power. Could a bad boost pressure sensor cause this?

Those symptoms sound familiar. I had something similar happen with my old Opel Astra. Is the hissing noise like a boost leak? Have you checked all the air intake hoses and connections for cracks or loose clamps?

A boost leak? I haven't checked the hoses that thoroughly. Would a small leak really cause all these problems, even the stalling at idle?

With my Astra, even a tiny crack in the intake manifold hose caused issues, including stalling and the check engine light. It's worth a look. If you can't find anything obvious, you might want to get it checked out at a workshop. Could be a defective cable or plug connection.

Thanks for the tip! It was the boost pressure sensor – a defective cable connection, just like you suspected. 95€ later and the Navara is running smoothly again!
