Navara System Readiness Check Incomplete After Scan
Summary of the thread
A 2018 Nissan Navara diesel experienced an issue where the system readiness check remained incomplete after an OBD2 scan, leading to an error message on the speedometer. This problem could be due to emissions-related tests not completing, possibly caused by clearing codes during the scan. Suggested solutions included driving the vehicle further or consulting a workshop for a forced readiness test. Ultimately, a workshop performed a computer reset, resolving the issue without charge.

I've driven about 150 km since the scan, but the system readiness check is still incomplete. Is there a specific driving cycle that might help reset the system, or could something have been affected during the scan?

150 km should have been enough for some monitors to complete. It's unlikely the scan caused damage, but clearing codes might have prevented the tests from running. Since it's a diesel, a blocked DPF or faulty EGR valve could be the issue. I'd recommend a workshop. They can do a forced readiness test or pinpoint problems.

I followed your advice and consulted a workshop. They performed a computer reset, and the system readiness check is now complete. There was no charge for the procedure. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

I had a similar issue with my old Audi A4 after clearing codes. System readiness is a set of emissions-related tests. The car needs to perform and pass them. They usually run automatically. Have you tried driving it to see if the error clears? How far have you driven since the scan?
