Hey, thanks for the quick reply! Doesn't sound like much fun, but I'm glad to hear that it's probably not a huge problem. Do you remember how much you paid for the repair? And has anything else similar occurred since then or was the problem really fixed? Thanks for your help!

Hey, no problem, happy to help! Well, I had to fork out €165 for the repair, mainly to fix the cable connection between the control unit and the display. Sounded like a bit too much at first, but since then the problem has disappeared from the face of the earth. The audio system is running perfectly again, everything is tutti. It was probably just the connection running at an angle. So I would say yes, it was definitely worth it!

Ah great, that reassures me! 165 sounds relatively fair if everything really runs smoothly again afterwards. I think I'll start looking for a good mechanic and hope that they can do it just as well. Your information really helped, thank you very much! I just hope that I won't have any more surprises now. Keep your fingers crossed for me! See you then and have a relaxing day!

Yes, that sounds a lot like my problem with my 2009 Opel Insignia. I also had problems with the cable connection between the control unit and the display, which was quite annoying. Basically, the problem is a bad connection, that's why your sat nav and audio system are going crazy. You know, it wasn't a big drama, but it definitely needed to be fixed. Last time I took the car to the garage and they had to check some connections and replace some cables. So, don't worry, it's nothing wild and with professional help you'll get it sorted. Good luck!
