NBox gearbox slipping
Summary of the thread
A 2011 Honda NBox is experiencing gearbox issues, with unclean shifts suggesting slipping. The initial suspicion is transfer case oil wear, though no leakage is visible. A similar case revealed defective gears inside the transfer case, with oil wear being a symptom rather than the cause. A professional inspection is recommended to diagnose and address the issue accurately.

Yeah, I checked the level, and it seemed okay, but I didn't actually drain and inspect it. What was the fix for yours? Was it definitely the transfer case?

Yep, turned out the gears inside the transfer case were defective. The oil wear was a symptom, not the cause, if that makes sense. Honestly, I'd get it checked out by a workshop. They can diagnose it properly. Best of luck!

Thanks a bunch for the insight! I suspected it was something internal. I've booked it in for a proper inspection. Looks like I'm looking at around 330€ for the repairs. Appreciate the help!

Whoa, that sounds familiar! I had something similar happening with my NBox. It was driving me nuts! Started with the weird shifting, and then it just got worse. Have you checked the transfer fluid level?
