Thanks for the tip! Where exactly was the broken wire located on your Astra? Was it difficult to access and repair?

On my Astra, it was located within the rubber boot where the wiring harness passes from the car body into the door. Constant opening and closing had fatigued the wire. Given the error code you're seeing, and considering this is inside the door, I would take it to a workshop. The error code may indicate a more specific problem than just a frayed wire, and you could damage components. I would recommend you to do that. But this is only my experience.

Thanks, I appreciate the advice. It was indeed a defective connector in the door. A local mechanic has resolved the issue and charged 95€ for the repair.

That sounds familiar. I had a similar problem with my old Opel Astra. The symptoms were identical: keyless entry failed, and the diagnostic tool showed an electrical fault. In my case, it was a broken wire within the door harness. Did you check the door switch or the wires which goes into the door?
