Nemo battery drain

I'm experiencing a weird issue with my 2008 gasoline Citroen Nemo, which has 187646 km on the clock. The battery seems really discharged. I'm getting an error message on the speedometer, the lights are weak and flickering, and there's an undervoltage error code stored. Plus, the battery feels weak when starting. I'm wondering if it's a bad battery sensor. Anyone else seen this on their Nemo?

Sounds familiar. I’ve got a Nemo too, and chasing electrical gremlins is like trying to catch smoke sometimes. A heavily discharged battery, eh? Weak lights? Hmmm. First thing I’d check is the connections to the battery itself. Corrosion can build up on the battery terminals – give them a good clean. Make sure they're tight too. What kind of error code are you getting?

Thanks, I've already cleaned the battery terminals and made sure they're tight. Still no change. The error code is for a fault in the battery sensor circuit. Do you think the battery sensor caused similar symptoms for you? Any more info?

Ah, a battery sensor fault. Yes, that rings a bell. I remember now; the garage mentioned something similar. It could be the culprit for the error message, but a defective battery sensor can drain the battery even when the car is off, like a tiny vampire. Given the error code and persistent discharge, I'd strongly advise getting it properly diagnosed at a workshop. Ignoring electrical issues can lead to bigger headaches down the road.

Thanks, I appreciate the advice. I'm booking it in at a trusted workshop for a proper check and repair. It was the battery sensor. Repair cost was 315€.
