Now that you mention it, I did have the brake lines bled recently. Could that really cause the pressure sensor to fail?

In my case, the incorrect bleeding introduced air, which messed with the ABS system and triggered a false reading from the sensor. While the sensor itself might be fine, the system interprets the air as a sensor malfunction. I suggest getting it checked by a workshop. They can re-bleed the system properly and see if that resolves the issue.

Thanks! I took your advice and brought it to a workshop. Turns out the brake system bleeding was indeed the problem. They re-bled it, and the error is gone, brakes feel normal again! Cost me 90€, much appreciated!

Interesting issue. I had something similar happen with my old Opel Astra. Same symptoms: error message, poor brake performance. The problem back then turned out to be air in the brake lines due to incorrect bleeding. Did you recently have any work done on the brake system?
