Nemo Knock Sensor Issue

Hi, I have a 2015 Citroen Nemo with a gasoline engine. The check engine light comes on, and I've noticed higher fuel consumption and uneven idling. My mileage is at 35025 km. Could this be related to a defective knock sensor? I've read that a defective cable or plug connection could be the reason.

Sounds like it could be the knock sensor. The symptoms you describe are consistent with that malfunction. Has the malfunction indicator lamp illuminated?

Yes, the malfunction indicator lamp is on. What should I do next? Is there something I can easily check myself?

Given the symptoms and the illuminated malfunction indicator lamp, it's highly likely the knock sensor or its connections. While you could check the connections, I'd advise having it professionally diagnosed to avoid further issues.

Thanks for the advice! I took it to a workshop, and it turned out to be a defective connection to the knock sensor, just like I suspected. Repair cost me 95€, and now it runs smoothly again.
