Nemo Windshield Washer Heater Failure

Hey, I'm having trouble with my 2007 Citroen Nemo (gasoline engine). The windshield washer heater seems to be kaput. I keep getting an error, and the spray nozzles are frozen solid when it's cold. I checked the fuse, and it seems fine. Any ideas what could be causing this? It's driving me nuts!

The symptoms you describe suggest a malfunction in the windshield washer heater circuit. This is often due to a break in the electrical circuit. A similar issue occurred with a colleague's 2014 Opel Astra; the root cause was a corroded connector to the washer heater element. I recommend inspecting the wiring and connectors leading to the heater. Look for signs of corrosion, loose connections, or damaged wires, which could be preventing the heater from functioning correctly. Have you checked the voltage reaching the heater element when the washer system is activated? This would help isolate whether the problem lies in the wiring or the heater element itself.

Thanks for the advice! Checking the voltage is a good idea, but I'm not really sure where to start. Which connector are you talking about and where is the heater element located on the Nemo? Is it easy to get to?

The connector in question is the one that directly attaches to the windshield washer heater element. Its location on the Nemo I am sadly not familiar with, however its placement is usually close to the washer fluid reservoir or integrated within the nozzle assembly itself. If the element is not working properly, and upon closer inspection the cable or plug connection of the component has a defect, then a replacement should be considered. Considering your vehicle and the labour involved in diagnosing and fixing the defect, you can expect a bill around 95€.

Okay, thanks a bunch for the info! Sounds like it's best to take it to the workshop then. I'll tell them to check the connections and heater element. I appreciate the help!
