Nissan Caravan Key Battery Low Warning

I've got a 2020 Nissan Caravan with a diesel engine and I'm getting a 'key battery low' warning. Keyless access is dead, and the error's stored. Unlocking's a pain. Mileage is at 189462 km. Think it's just the key fob battery?

Summary of the thread

A 2020 Nissan Caravan owner is experiencing a 'key battery low' warning, resulting in the failure of keyless access. The primary suspicion is a dead key fob battery. Another individual with a similar issue suggests replacing the battery, which temporarily resolved their problem, but advises seeking professional help if the issue persists, indicating a potential deeper problem. The owner plans to replace the battery first to see if it resolves the issue.

Did this summary help you solve your problem?

I had something similar happen with my Nissan Caravan, though mine's a bit older. Is the key really dead? Have you tried replacing the battery in the key fob?

Yeah, I'm pretty sure the battery's dead. Keyless entry is totally gone. I was just wondering if anyone else had experienced this before I go ahead and replace the battery. Was it the same for you?

Yep, same symptoms. Replaced the battery and it worked for a while but started acting up again soon after. I'd get it checked out at a workshop if it keeps happening. Could be a deeper issue.

Thanks for the heads up. I'll try the battery first and see if that fixes it. Cost me 37€ but so far so good. Fingers crossed it's just that!
