Nissan Crew Incorrect Fuel Composition Error

Thanks for the quick reply! I did recently fill up at a station I don't usually go to. The fuel filter is a good shout; I haven't checked that yet. When you had the problem with your Insignia, did the error code specifically mention 'incorrect fuel composition,' or was it something more general?

Indeed, the error code in my case was rather generic, indicating a deviation from the optimal combustion parameters. However, after a thorough investigation, the root cause was traced back to a defective cable connection within the fuel system. Given the relatively low mileage of your Nissan Crew, it is conceivable that a similar issue, such as a loose or corroded connection, could be the culprit. I would strongly advise consulting a qualified technician to perform a comprehensive diagnostic assessment. It's best to avoid driving it unnecessarily until the issue is properly diagnosed.

Thanks a lot for your help! It sounds like it could be something relatively simple, like a dodgy connection. I took it to a local workshop, and they found a defective plug connection. They replaced it, and the error's gone. Total cost was 95€. Appreciate the advice!

Greetings! I recall experiencing a similar predicament with my 2014 Opel Insignia. The symptoms you describe, particularly the engine stalling at idle and the check engine light activation, mirror my own encounter. Have you recently refueled at a different petrol station or perhaps used a fuel additive? It might also be useful to check the fuel filter; a clogged filter could potentially disrupt the fuel-air mixture and trigger the error.
