Nissan Crew NOx Sensor Error
Summary of the thread
A 2003 Nissan Crew with a gasoline engine displayed a check engine light, indicating a NOx sensor error. The owner suspected an exhaust leak and potential issues with the cable or plug. After consulting with others, it was suggested to check the air-fuel ratio, but ultimately, the vehicle was taken to a workshop. The workshop confirmed the problem, replaced the faulty NOx sensor, and addressed the bad cable and plug.

How did you measure the air-fuel ratio? I don't have much experience with that. Did you need special tools, or is there a way to do it without?

I used a cheap OBD2 scanner and a phone app for the live data. But with the exhaust leak, a workshop might be best. I messed with the Citroen for a while, then took it to a shop. They said it was the NOx sensor and replaced it.

Thanks, I took it to a workshop and they replaced the NOx sensor. The cable and plug were bad, like I thought. It cost 95€.

Sounds like what happened with my old 2011 Citroen C4. Check engine light, error code... Did you check the air-fuel ratio? Mine was running lean before the NOx sensor died.
