Nissan Cube DPF Pressure Too Low

I'm freaking out. My 2019 Nissan Cube with a diesel engine is acting up. The diesel particulate filter exhaust pressure is too low, according to the error code, and it's showing up as a warning light. I've noticed a real drop in engine power, and there's awful smoke when I accelerate, with a rank exhaust smell. I think it might be an exhaust back pressure sensor. Anyone else dealt with this?

I drive a Cube and had similar troubles a while ago, I think it was the DPF. Did you try forcing a DPF regeneration?

Forcing a DPF regeneration? I don't even know what that is, or how to do it! Is it something I can do myself, or do I need to go to a shop? I don't want to pay a lot if it's an easy fix...

I wouldn't know how to do it myself. I took mine to the workshop, they ran a diagnostic and had to replace a sensor to do with the exhaust. Sorry I can't be of more help, but hope that's useful!

I took your advice and went to the workshop. Turns out the exhaust back pressure sensor was indeed defective, just as I suspected. The repair set me back 245€, but the Cube is back to its old self now. No more warning lights, no more smoke, and the engine power is back!
