Nissan Dayz Terminal 15 Ignition Interrupted

My 2022 Nissan Dayz (electric engine) is giving me grief. It's got 154,453 km on the clock and keeps throwing an error about "Terminal 15 ignition positive interrupted" and won't start. I checked the obvious stuff like the battery terminals, but no luck. Anyone seen this before?

Summary of the thread

A 2022 Nissan Dayz with 154,453 km is experiencing a "Terminal 15 ignition positive interrupted" error, preventing it from starting. Initial checks of battery terminals did not resolve the issue. Possible causes include issues with the starter solenoid wiring or corrosion on the relay switch, both of which can disrupt the ignition process. It is suggested to inspect these components for loose connections or corrosion, but due to the complexity, professional diagnosis and repair are recommended.

Did this summary help you solve your problem?

Whoa, that sounds familiar! I have a Nissan Dayz too (don't remember the exact year), and I had a similar problem last year. Terminal 15 issue... engine wouldn't even crank. Did you check the starter solenoid wiring? It's like the nerve center for getting the engine going. Also, have you looked at the relay switch? Sometimes those get corroded and can cause weird issues. It's kinda like a clogged artery preventing the flow.

Thanks for the quick reply! Where exactly is the starter solenoid wiring located, and what am I looking for in terms of corrosion on the relay switch? I'm not super familiar with this stuff, so any pointers would be great.

Okay, so the starter solenoid is usually mounted on the starter motor itself. Trace the thick wire from the battery to the starter, and you should find it. Check for any loose connections or frayed wires. As for the relay switch, it's usually in the fuse box under the hood. The diagrams are usually printed on the inside of the lid. Pull the relay out and check the pins for any green or white corrosion. Honestly though, with an electrical issue like that, and the mileage you've got, it could be a defective cable or plug connection somewhere. The error code suggests as much. It might be worth getting it checked by a workshop to avoid further damage.

Appreciate the help. Sounds like it's beyond my comfort level to dig too deep. I'll take it to a shop. They quoted me 95€, and they mentioned a defective cable or plug connection too, so sounds like you were right on the money. Thanks again!
