Nissan Dayz uneven idling engine mount error
Summary of the thread
A 2020 Nissan Dayz with nearly 200,000 km is experiencing uneven idling, with error codes indicating an engine mount issue. Despite checking wiring and plugs, the problem persists, suggesting a possible defective engine mount or another underlying issue. A suggestion to inspect cable connections more thoroughly led to the discovery of a defective cable on the engine mount, which was resolved at a workshop.

Thanks for the quick reply! I did a visual inspection of the cable and plug connections and didn't see anything obvious. By 'really closely' do you mean taking them apart and testing for continuity? I'm not sure how else to check that. Any tips?

Yep, that's exactly what I mean. Visual checks aren't always enough. But honestly, based on what you're saying and the mileage, it's probably best to just take it to a workshop. They'll be able to diagnose it properly. Replacing the engine mount might fix it, but a proper check will save you money and time.

Okay, sounds like solid advice. I'll book it in at the shop. You were right! They found a defective cable on the engine mount. Cost me 95€ to fix, including the diagnosis. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!

Sounds familiar. I had a similar issue with my old Opel Corsa. Same symptoms - rough idle, error codes pointing to the engine mount. In my case it turned out to be a dodgy cable connection. Did you check them REALLY closely?
