Nissan Kicks fuel pump issue
Summary of the thread
A 2016 Nissan Kicks with a gasoline engine is experiencing starting issues, stalling at idle, rough running, increased fuel consumption, and a check engine light, with an error code indicating a fuel system problem. The owner suspects a defective fuel pump and has checked the relay and fuses without finding any issues. A defective cable or plug connection is considered a possible cause. After further inspection, it was confirmed that the problem was indeed due to a defective cable or plug connection, which was repaired.

Thanks. Which specific connections did you inspect on your Opel Astra and what were you looking for? Did you measure voltage to the pump?

I focused on the connector to the fuel pump, checking for corrosion and loose pins. I didn't measure voltage directly, as I didn't have the tools. Given your symptoms and the error code, get a workshop to diagnose it. It might be a defective pump or just a bad connection, but further diagnosis is needed.

I appreciate your insights. It turned out to be a defective cable or plug connection, as I suspected. The repair, including parts and labor, was 95€.

That sounds frustrating. My 2018 Opel Astra had similar symptoms: engine stalling, rough idling, and the check engine light. It was a faulty fuel pump relay. Check the electrical connections to the pump.
