Nissan Multi Charge Air Temperature Sensor Error

Hey, my 2004 Nissan Multi with a gasoline engine is throwing a charge air temperature sensor error. The check engine light is on, and I'm getting reduced engine power, a whistling noise, and a loud hissing when accelerating. I scanned it and found the error stored. I checked the sensor itself, but it looks fine. Any ideas?

I had something similar with my Multi. Check the cable and plug connection to the sensor. That was my problem. Look for any damage or loose connections there. Could be causing the issue.

Thanks for the tip! When you say "cable and plug connection", do you mean the wires going directly into the sensor, or further back in the wiring harness?

Yeah, the wires going directly into the sensor's plug. If those look good, it's probably time to take it to a workshop. I spent too much time messing with it before realizing it was a simple fix.

You were spot on! Took it to the shop, and it turned out to be a defective connector at the sensor. They replaced it, and the error is gone, power is back, and no more hissing! Cost me 95€. Thanks a bunch for the help!
