Nissan Multi lighting fault
Summary of the thread
A 2001 Nissan Multi is experiencing an electrical issue where the lights switch on intermittently, and an error is stored. A similar problem was resolved by checking the connector plug that goes directly into the light switch on the steering column, which was found to be loose. The suggested solution is to inspect this connection or consult a workshop for further diagnosis and repair.

Thanks. Could you clarify which cable or plug connection you mean? I'm moderately skilled, but more clarity would help. Also, how did you confirm that was the problem?

Sure. I meant the connector plug that goes directly into the light switch on the steering column. I didn't verify it myself; I took it to my usual workshop. They found the loose connection pretty quickly. If you're not comfortable digging around there, I'd recommend the same. Cost me around 95€.

Thanks for clarifying. Given the potential for more complex electrical problems, I think I'll take your advice and consult a trusted workshop. Thanks for sharing your experience and the estimated repair cost; it's a helpful benchmark.

Sounds familiar. I've got a Multi as well. I had a similar problem with my tail lights a while back. Have you checked the cable or plug connection of the light switch itself? That was the culprit for me.
