Nissan Multi Solar Sensor Error

Help! My 2004 Nissan Multi with a gasoline engine is acting up. I'm getting an error code related to the solar sensor and the heating is barely working. I suspect it might be a faulty cable. Any ideas?

That sounds familiar! I had a similar issue with my old BMW 3 Series. Same symptoms: error in the system and weak heat. In my case, it was a corroded connector on the sensor. Have you checked the wiring and plug going to the daylight sensor?

Thanks! Where exactly is that sensor located? I'm not sure where to start looking for the cable or plug you mentioned.

On my BMW, it was under the dashboard near the windshield. But honestly, on your Nissan, it could be in a slightly different spot. If you aren't sure, I'd suggest taking it to a workshop; they will find it quickly. It was much easier, faster, and safer than crawling around myself!

Thanks, I took your advice and brought it in. Turns out it was a faulty connector, just like you said! They cleaned everything up and replaced a small section of wiring. Cost me 95€ and now it works perfectly. Really appreciate the help!
