Nissan Note cruise control failure
Summary of the thread
A 2012 Nissan Note diesel's cruise control stopped working, with an error stored in the memory. Initial checks showed all fuses were fine, leading to suspicions about a defective cable or plug connection, possibly involving the dashboard light or clock spring. Suggestions included checking the speed sensor and throttle position, with a recommendation to seek professional help. Ultimately, a workshop identified and repaired a defective connection, resolving the issue.

Thanks for the reply. Did you have the exact same symptoms – cruise control dead and an error code? What was the fix in your case? Was it a simple job, or did you have to get deep into the wiring?

Yeah, pretty much the same. Cruise control packed it in, and the error code was a pain. Honestly, I'm not mechanically gifted, so I took it straight to a workshop. They sorted it pretty quick. Might be worth getting it checked out professionally.

Appreciate the advice. Turns out you were right. Took it to the workshop, and it was indeed a defective connection. Repair cost was 95€ Thanks again!

Cruise control issues are annoying! I've had something similar with my Note. Speed sensor, throttle position – have you looked at any of those? Could be a dodgy connection somewhere. Is your dashboard lighting up?
