Nissan Note Drift Compensation Error

I have a perplexing issue with my 2014 Nissan Note diesel, which has 109106 km on the odometer. The onboard diagnostics system identifies a 'Reset quantity drift compensation' error. The symptoms are rough engine running, the check engine light, and the error stored in memory. Could this be related to a defective fuel injection valve or injector?

I also drive a Nissan Note diesel. It feels like your engine is trying to make lemonade with only lemons, doesn't it? I had similar symptoms. Did the error code point specifically to any one cylinder or injector? Knowing that would be helpful.

The error code doesn't specify a particular cylinder or injector. It simply indicates a drift compensation fault across the system. Did the error also disappear after you reset the compensation value, only to reappear soon after?

Yes, precisely! The fault kept returning even after resetting it. Considering that you are experiencing the same issue without a specific injector being flagged, and given the symptoms you described, it is probably a fuel injector issue. It is time to visit a workshop! My repair cost me approximately 515€. I hope this helps!
