Nissan Note fuel flap issue
Summary of the thread
A 2007 Nissan Note diesel is experiencing a malfunction with the fuel flap release, which is not locking or unlocking properly. The issue may be linked to a faulty electric actuator or a poor connection. After checking the release button and key fob without success, it was suggested to have the vehicle inspected by a professional. The problem was ultimately identified as a defective linkage, which was repaired at a workshop.

Thanks for the quick reply! How did you narrow it down to the actuator or connection? Were there any other symptoms or anything specific you checked? I'm just trying to avoid tearing everything apart if I don't have to, haha.

Well, it was a while ago, so my memory is a bit fuzzy, but I remember fiddling around with it and not getting anywhere. To be honest, I just took it to a workshop and they sorted it out. They might have mentioned something about the lock actuator being faulty, but I am not sure. Probably best to get it checked properly.

Okay, thanks for the advice! Sounds like I'm heading to the workshop. Turns out the linkage was defective. Cost me 210€ to get it sorted. Appreciate the input!

Interesting. I've got a Note as well, though I can't remember the year, and had something similar happen. Was thinking it was the electric actuator for the fuel flap, or maybe even just a dodgy connection. Any idea if it's the same for you?
