Nissan Note Knock Sensor Issue

My 2019 Nissan Note e-Power has the malfunction indicator lamp illuminated at 47470 km, increased fuel consumption and some uneven idling. Diagnostics suggest the knock sensor is defective. I suspect a damaged cable or plug connection. Has anyone experienced a similar issue?

I had very similar symptoms with my Nissan Note. The diagnostics also pointed to the knock sensor. Before replacing it, I would suggest inspecting the wiring harness and connector. In my case, the connector was corroded. Did you examine the connections?

Thank you for your advice. You mentioned a corroded connector. Was the check engine light also intermittent, or did it remain constantly illuminated? And did this happen around the same mileage?

The light was constant for me, not intermittent. Though I fixed this on a previous car, this time I skipped the hassle and took it to a workshop since I lacked the right tools. Seeing your symptoms, I believe a visit to the mechanic would be appropriate.

I appreciate the confirmation and the advice. The workshop confirmed the defective knock sensor connection. The repair cost 95€. I will proceed with the repair.
